Brazosport College issued the following announcement.
In 1984, October was named Crime Prevention Month by the National Crime Prevention Council. With the purpose of creating safer communities, Crime Prevention Month reminds citizens to stay aware in places they live, work and play.
Brazosport College is no exception. While BC has earned recognition in the past for its campus safety, it’s important to always be aware of one’s surroundings.
With this in mind, the Brazosport College Police Department and the Office of Student Life are hosting a series of events to help students and BC employees not only get to know the school’s police officers, but to also learn what can be done to increase safety on and off the college campus.
The month begins and ends with Virtual Coffee With a Cop events on Oct. 8 and Oct. 26, and two informative crime prevention presentations scheduled in between.
Events will be held online and registration is at choosebc.info/crime2020/.
