City of Brazoria issued the following announcement.
On September 22, 2020, Brazoria County Commissioners’ Court approved a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to receive more timely and accurate COVID-19 fatality data for Brazoria County.
On October 2, 2020, there will be approximately 30 new deaths reported on the Brazoria County COVID-19 Dashboard due to the initial information received through the state. Over the next few days, as the Health Department works to confirm new data from DSHS, there could be an increase in fatality numbers reported to the County COIVD-19 Dashboard.
