There were 29,188 students enrolled in Alvin ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.9% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.3% of them were boys, and 48.7% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Alvin ISD students was Hispanic, accounting for 40.5% of the student population.

Alvin ISD roughly covers schools within Brazoria County with its main office in Alvin.

Among the 33 schools in Alvin ISD, Alvin High School recorded the highest enrollment of 2,821 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
